Swimming & Diving preps for CCSA opener vs. Campbell

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville swimming & diving team will be back in action on Saturday when it hosts Campbell at the Justice Center Pool. The meet will get underway at 10:30 a.m. and it will be on ESPN+.
Last Time Out – Asheville opened its 2022-23 season with a 160-140 win over East Carolina earlier this month. With the victory, the Bulldogs have now won 13 consecutive dual meets dating back to October 2020.
Sweep of the CCSA Awards – A pair of Bulldogs were recognized for their performances against ECU. Delaney Carlton was named the CCSA Swimmer of the Week, while Morgan Coughlen was named the League's Diver of the Week on October 4. It marks the first weekly award of Coughlen's career, while for Carlton it marks her fourth such honor.
Note from Coach – "We look forward to hosting our first conference opponent this weekend," said UNC Asheville Head Coach Elizabeth Lykins. "Our staff is encouraged by the team's response to our home opener a few weeks ago, and excited to rise to the challenge as Campbell makes the trip to Asheville on Saturday."
About the Camels – Campbell has a record of 3-4 so far this season. The Camels have knocked off UNC Pembroke (155-102), Chowan (205-25), and Barton (196-47) so far this fall. Campbell's three wins so far nearly matches its win total from all last season (four).
Series Rewind vs. Campbell – Asheville is 2-9-1 all-time against Campbell in head-to-head competition. However, the Bulldogs have won the last two matchups by scores of 152-109 and 293-54.
