Women’s Soccer hosts Campbell for Senior Day

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team will host Campbell Saturday evening at Greenwood Field in its final home match of the regular season. Kickoff for Saturday's matchup, which is also the team's senior day, is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
Last Time Out – Asheville tallied a 3-1 victory on the road at Longwood last Saturday. With Saturday's win over the Lancers, the Bulldogs are now 4-8-3 overall and 2-4-1 in Big South play.
Mihailovich named Freshman of the Week – Freshman Azalea Mihailovich led the way for the Bulldogs in their 3-1 win as she scored a goal and added two assists. For her performance, Mihailovich was named the Big South's Freshman of the Week on Monday. It marks the second time this season that a Bulldog has earned the Freshman of the Week honor with the first being Shae Hassig on September 26.
Senior moving up the Saves Chart – Goalkeeper Bronwyn Luitwieler needs just five more saves to move into ninth place all-time on Asheville's all-time saves list. Luitwieler, who has 115 saves in her Bulldog career, became the 10th keeper in program history to record 100 saves earlier this season.
Senior Sendoff – As mentioned previously, the Bulldogs will be honoring their senior class on Saturday night. Prior to matchup with the Camels, Asheville will recognize Luitwieler, Lindie Clark, Olivia Lenderman, and Sarah Langille and their accomplishments during their time with the program.
About Campbell – Campbell enters Saturday's match with Asheville sporting a record of 9-3-3 overall and 5-0-2 in Big South play. Jessica Donald currently leads the Camels with 17 points (six goals, five assists) so far in 2022. Defensively, Campbell has logged shutouts in six of its 15 matches this season.
Series Rewind vs. the Camels – Asheville is 6-11-0 all-time against Campbell. The Bulldogs, however, have a winning record (4-3) vs. the Camels in matches contested at Greenwood Field.
