Trio of goals propels the Bulldogs over the Lancers

Mihailovich had her best collegiate performance to date, as she took part in every scoring play and had the second most points in a match for the Bulldogs this season with four (a goal, two assists).
The Bulldogs started the first half off running, as Mihailovich found Schlitter on a back door cut to the net for an easy tap-in past the goalkeeper, putting Asheville up 1-0 in the fourth minute of the match.Â

The rest of the first half was a defensive battle as Longwood looked to tie the score. Despite the Lancers putting up nine shots to Asheville's seven, only two of Longwood's shots were on target, with the pair of shots being stopped by the goalkeeper Bronwyn Luitwieler.SOLVEIG SCHLITTER!! Longwood struck back early in the second half, as the Lancer snuck a pass behind the Bulldog defenders to even up the match, 1-1.
The tie did not hold for long as Schlitter returned the favor to Mihailovich in the 58th minute. After receiving a free kick cross from Anna Doane, Schlitter passed the ball over the defenders' head to Mihailovich for a strike to the far post to retake the lead, 2-1.

The Bulldogs were not done yet, scoring yet again in the 85th minute.
