Women's Tennis to open up spring season this weekend

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team will open its spring season this weekend with duals against Tusculum University on Saturday and Lees-McRae College on Sunday.
The Bulldogs return seven players from last year, including three All-Conference finishers in Rosie Dickson, Ami Grace Dougah, and Lize Alet Morkel, while adding one freshman in Ari Siegel.
Morkel is the reigning Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Dougah led the Bulldogs in singles victories in 2021 with a 10-3 record, while sharing the doubles record at 7-3 with Dickson.
Asheville, who was selected tied for fourth in the Big South Preseason Poll, finished last year's slate at 5-8 with a 2-4 conference record.
Both matches this weekend will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown.
