ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis team is set to open up its fall season this weekend, competing in the Elon Fall Invitational Friday through Sunday.

What they lost and what they return
The Bulldogs went 5-8 in the spring season, going 2-4 overall against conference opponents. Asheville returns the bulk of its lineup including Ami Grace Dougah, who was named First Team All-Big South Singles last season. Dougah had a dominant sophomore campaign, going 10-3 overall, 9-3 at the No. 2 flight and 5-1 in conference play.

Dougah teamed up with Rosie Dickson as the duo was named First Team All-conference Singles, going 7-3 at the No. 1 flight for the year. Dickson represented herself well in singles action, going 6-1 overall and 5-1 in conference matches as she was named Second Team All-Conference Singles.

Additionally, Lize Alet Morkel returns for her senior campaign. In the spring, the Cape Town, South Africa, native posted a singles record of 8-4 at the No. 1 flight, going 9-4 overall and was named the Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Scouting the Host
