Women’s Soccer falls to Davidson 2-0

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Women's Soccer team capped off its five-game home stand on Sunday afternoon, falling 2-0 to Davidson.
The game was slow to start, but Davidson scored around the midway point of each half to win 2-0. Asheville drops to 1-6-1 overall while Davidson improves to 4-3-1.

How it Happened
It was a slow pace to start, with Davidson registering its first shot of the contest in the 23rd. In the 25th, Brook Ditcham swung a ball in from the left where Hannah Casey headed it home to make it 1-0. The Wildcats would register a pair of shots before the half ended, taking the one-goal lead into the break.
Asheville opened with some urgency registering two shots early as Kaiya Boyd and Carson Bogan each fired shots. Davidson earned a pair of corners and in the 63rd they would capitalize as Riley Patton ripped a rebound home for the goal. Lillian Morrison, who scored her first collegiate goal on Thursday fired a shot wide in the 69th and Emilyn Krans had a chance in the 89th, but Davidson took the contest 2-0.
What's Next
The Bulldogs have six days off, traveling to Gardner-Webb to face the Runnin' Bulldogs on Saturday.
