Women’s soccer falls at Presbyterian 2-0

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team traveled to Presbyterian on Thursday, falling to the Blue Hose 2-0.
The two sides battled in the first, but Presbyterian would break through in the 72nd minute and add another in the 81st to take the game 2-0.
What's Next
Asheville, which falls to 1-7 (all Big South games) will return home for its final match of the season on Sunday, hosting Gardner-Webb at noon.

How it Happened
Presbyterian earned a corner in the second but Bryson Lee picked up a save, leading to a Kaiya Boyd shot that rang off the crossbar. The teams traded chances with Presbyterian firing one just high in the 29th. As time winded down in the first, the Blue Hose registered a pair of shots and Alice Walker fired one on frame but it was saved as the sides went into the half scoreless.
Walker and the Bulldogs earned a corner right out of the break as Lindie Clark headed one just high. Presbyterian responded with a pair of corner kicks, eventually breaking through in the 72nd when Sydni Dachs found the back of the net. In the 81st minute, the Blue Hose doubled up their lead via a Morgan Hutchison goal to take the contest 2-0.
