How it Happened
Charleston Southern would register the first shot in the fourth, but Asheville responded with a pair of shots and a corner. After the teams traded chances, the Bulldogs that would lead to a Clark shot pushed just high. In the 32nd minute, it was the Bucs who would break through, registering a corner and capitalizing as Emma Ryan buried a shot to make the score 1-0. Asheville was not deterred, cashing in on a corner of their own when Walker fired a low liner to equalize as the teams went into the break tied 1-1.

The teams took a little time to get going in the second, but Charleston Southern would register the first corner in the 60th followed by a pair of shots that were turned away by O'Malley. The Bucs had another opportunity in the 72nd, but O'Malley rejected it once more. With time winding down in regulation, the Bulldogs earned a corner kick in the 84th which set up a Eidson shot that stung the crossbar but bounced away from the net.

When Charleston Southern got its first chance in overtime, they took advantage, as Lauren McDonald found the back of the net to lift the Bucs to the win.
