Women's Tennis drops match at Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team traveled to Chattanooga for its second match of the 2021 spring season on Saturday afternoon, falling 6-1 to the Mocs.
Lize Alet Morkel continued her strong start to the year, defeating Jessie Young 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 1 singles spot.Â
Chattanooga took the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles 6-2 and 6-0, and although they did not finish the No. 1 doubles match, Ami Grace Dougah and Rosie Dickson battled to the tune of 5-4.Â
Dougah nearly pulled out her match a the No. 2 singles position, ultimately falling 6-2, 7-6 and 10-4 in the third and deciding set. Anastasia Horvat fell 3-6, 5-7 at the No. 4 singles, while Beatrice Faureng and Taylor Love each fell 6-2, 6-2 in their respective singles matches.Â
