Golf returns to action in Aggie Invitational

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team will compete in its second tournament of the fall, traveling to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the Aggie Invitational. The tournament, which takes place on Monday and Tuesday, will be held at Bryan Park Golf Course  and hosted by North Carolina A&T.

The team opened up its season at the Pirate Collegiate Classic last month, finishing strong with a day-three 297, cutting 15 strokes off their team score from round two. Phoebe Carles had the best finish individually, tying for 10th overall while Venecia Zaia was just two strokes behind Carles for the tournament.

Tournament Information

Participating Teams (8):  Appalachian State, UNC Asheville, Western Carolina, Elon, Alabama State, Howard, North Carolina Central and North Carolina A&T

The tournament will be played in match-play format.
