SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNC Asheville baseball will take on the Wofford Terriers, Wednesday, February 19, at the Russell C. King Field in Spartanburg, S.C. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.

About the Bulldogs
UNC Asheville opened their 2020 season last weekend at Samford and dropped all three games to the best team in the Southern Conference a year ago. Newcomers, Ryan Douglas and Sebastian Dunn, shined in game three of the series as Dunn picked up three hits in the loss while Douglas threw 5.2 innings of five-hit, two-run ball in his collegiate debut. The Bulldog home run leader from a year ago, Brandon Lankford, went yard in game one while lead-off hitter Greg Gasparro hit his first home run of the season with a two-run shot in game two.
About the Terriers
Wofford opened the 2020 season by hosting Binghamton at King Field for a three-game set. The Terriers were chosen number one in the Southern Conference preseason polls by league coaches and Wofford lived up to that hype in their opening series as they swept the Bearcats. The Wofford offense scored 29 runs over the three games while the Terriers allowed only 10 runs. Eight Terriers had three or more hits in the series.
