Bulldogs to Battle Buccaneers in Road Rematch

CHARLESTON, S.C. – UNC Asheville women's basketball will take on the Charleston Southern Buccaneers in a 7 p.m. matchup, Tuesday, February 18, on the road in Charleston, S.C.
UNC Asheville (14-10, 8-7) has played to an 8-7 record in Big South Conference play. Four of the Bulldogs eight victories have come from inside Kimmel Arena as UNC Asheville has defeated Presbyterian, Campbell, High Point and Winthrop at home. The Bulldogs defeated USC Upstate in the Hodge Center for their first Big South road win of the season before taking down preseason favorite Radford inside the Dedmon Center a few days later. The Bulldogs grabbed another victory on the road as they defeated Winthrop, 50-43, inside the
Winthrop Coliseum on Jan. 28. The Bulldogs' latest road victory took place, Feb. 11, as UNC Asheville defeated Presbyterian.
Since conference play began on Dec. 28, two Bulldogs have averaged a double-digit point total as Nadiria Evans has scored 14.5 points per game in conference play while redshirt senior Sonora Dengokl is currently averaging 13.3 points per game through the first 12 Big South games of the season. Brooke Jordan-Brown is leading the Big South Conference with 12.3 rebounds a game since conference play began.
Charleston Southern has played to a 3-21 record this season and is currently 1-14 inside the Big South Conference. The Bucs are 2-11 inside the Buc Dome this season.
