Asheville, Presbyterian game to be broadcast on ESPNU

January 4 contest will tip at 5:00 p.m. from Kimmel Arena
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Tuesday that the UNC Asheville men's basketball game against Presbyterian College on January 4 will be the first of its six conference games broadcasted on ESPNU this season.
The game, which was originally scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN+, can now be seen on the linear network (ESPNU) with tip off at 5:00 p.m. from Asheville's Kimmel Arena. This will be Asheville's 11th appearance as part of the ESPNU Wild Card package, of which ESPN chooses select games from the Big South to be featured on their network.
In addition to the January 4 contest, the Big South remaining slate features three more January games (Jan. 14, 19 and 28) and two February dates (Feb. 4 and 18). The selections for the games will be made 14 days in advance.
The January 4 tilt will be the first of two conference games between Asheville and Presbyterian, with game two scheduled to be played on January 5 at 2:00 p.m. The Bulldogs are 2-0 in Big South play this season, while the Blue Hose will host Radford December 30-31 in their first conference action of the year. The two sides each won on their respective home court's last season, with the Bulldogs taking the last matchup 75-64 from Kimmel Arena.
Asheville faces Marshall tonight (December 22) at 6:00 p.m. from Huntington, West Virginia, returning to the court after break on December 30. Tuesday's clash at Marshall will be broadcast live on Conference USA TV, or you can listen here.
