11.03.2020 | Men's Basketball
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's basketball team released its current non-conference slate on Tuesday. In addition to the Mako Medical Asheville Classic to open the season on November 27-28, the Bulldogs will compete in four other non-conference contests.
"I am very excited to announce our 2020-21 non-conference schedule," said UNC Asheville Head Men's Basketball Coach Mike Morrell. "I am very thankful to our administration and Athletic Director Janet R. Cone for helping us put this together in a short amount of time due to all of the changes in scheduling over the last few months. Our fans will see many regional opponents, and our program is excited to get back on the floor!"
After the Bulldogs take on UNC Wilmington and Western Carolina to open the season in the Mako Medical Asheville Classic, they will begin the month of December by hosting South Carolina State on December 5 for its final non-conference home game. Following that matchup, the Bulldogs will return to the court in its lone neutral site contest on December 8 when it takes on East Tennessee State at the Harrah's Cherokee Center in downtown Asheville. Asheville will then wrap up its non-conference slate with road trips to Chattanooga on December 16 and to Marshall on December 22.
Additional non-conference games may be added at a later date.

A reminder that fans will initially not be permitted at home basketball games through December 31, 2020. A decision about permitting fans beginning in 2021 will be announced at a later date as state and local guidelines regarding COVID-19 are released.
