Bulldogs Host Davidson Sunday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville's women's soccer team will continue its homestand by hosting the Wildcats of Davidson at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 15, at Greenwood Field.
The Bulldogs (2-4) won an overtime thriller, 1-0, against ETSU, August 25. Junior Skyler Chillson scored the golden goal on an assist by Chloe Lamenzo midway through the overtime period to give the Bulldogs their first road victory since the 2017 season.
UNC Asheville's second win of the season came, Wednesday, September 11, with a 2-0 victory against Mars Hill. The victory was the Bulldogs' second shutout this season. Isabella Piso picked up her first career goal to put the Bulldogs up 1-0. A few moments later, Chloe Lamenzo found the back of the net for her first goal in a Bulldog uniform to give the Bulldogs the 2-0 finish.
Bryson Lee and Courtney O'Malley combined for the shutout from between the pipes as the duo held the Lion offense scoreless for the entire 90 minutes.
The Wildcats are 4-3 on the season. They opened the season 2-0 versus Big South members Gardner-Webb and Winthrop before dropping their next three matches. Davidson has rebounded since, winning their last two matchups versus Georgia Southern and UNC-Greensboro.
The last matchup between the Bulldogs and the Wildcats was an 8-1 Wildcat victory in Davidson, N.C., during the 2011 season.
