Bulldogs Return Home for Matchup with Mars Hill

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville's women's soccer team will return to Greenwood Field for a matchup with the Lions of Mars Hill at 6 p.m., Wednesday, September 11.
The Bulldogs (1-4) won an overtime thriller, 1-0, against ETSU, August 25. Junior Skyler Chillson scored the golden goal on an assist by Chloe Lamenzo midway through the overtime period to give the Bulldogs their first road victory since the 2017 season.
The Lions are 0-1-1 this season. They opened the season, Thursday, September 5, against Big South member USC Upstate and lost 6-1 to the Spartans. Mars Hill then hosted Alabama Huntsville, Sunday, September 8, in a match that ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Lions have scored two goals on 11 shots in their two games.
The Bulldogs and the Lions matched up in 2013 and 2014 at Greenwood Field. Both matches ended in Bulldog victories at 1-0 and 2-0, respectively.
