Next Stop for UNC Asheville Men’s Basketball: The Citadel

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville men's basketball announced their second nonconference opponent of the 2019-20 season on Monday, July 29, 2019.
The Bulldogs will travel to Charleston, S.C. to take on Southern Conference member The Citadel at the McAlister Field House on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019.
These two programs met in three consecutive seasons beginning with the 1986-87 season and concluding with the 1988-89 season but have not met since that season. This matchup will be the fourth all-time meeting between UNC Asheville and The Citadel.
UNC Asheville men's basketball will continue releasing its 2019-20 nonconference schedule over the course of the next few weeks on social media and uncabulldogs.com.
Last week, UNC Asheville men's basketball announced it would be taking on ACC member Wake Forest at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019.

As part of the unique nonconference schedule release, second-year head coach Mike Morrell will also talk about each of the Bulldogs' opponents as they prepare for the rigors of Big South Conference play. UNC Asheville will also over the coming weeks release the women's basketball nonconference schedule.
