HIGH POINT, N.C. – To conclude the 2018-19 regular season, the UNC Asheville women's basketball team will travel to High Point to square off with High Point inside the Millis Center.
Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.

About UNC Asheville
The Bulldogs travel to High Point with a 16-12 overall record and an 11-6 mark in Big South games. Asheville is just one Big South victory away from earning its third 12-plus win season in the league in program history.
With its 62-45 win over the Buccaneers on Saturday, UNC Asheville has been guaranteed a bye in the Big South Tournament. The Bulldogs will play their first game in the quarterfinal round of the Big South Tournament at either No. 1 Radford or No. 2 High Point.
In the 17-point win over CSU on Saturday, UNC Asheville honored five graduating Bulldogs – Alexis Toney, Jessica Wall, Kelli Fisher, Tiffany Wilson and Ali Trani. Among the five players, they are UNC Asheville's DI all-time winningest class with 77 total wins. The senior class has also won two Big South Tournaments, a Big South Regular Season title and has appeared in three straight postseason tournaments.
In the game against the Buccaneers, UNC Asheville used a fast start to open the victory. The Bulldogs opened the game holding the Buccaneers to just four points, while Asheville tallied 17 points in the opening 10 minutes. In the home finale, three Bulldogs posted double-digit performances. Sophomore Nadiria Evans led all scorers with 16 points in 19 minutes of action, and she went an impressive 6-for-8 from the field. Sonora Dengokl added 12 points in her first start back since returning from injury. The guard shot 50 percent from the field. Wall was the final Bulldogs in double digits, as the senior connected on three 3-pointers. Brooke Jordan-Brown was a force on the boards, as the junior posted a career-best 15 rebounds in 20 minutes of action.
Scouting High Point
High Point hosts its final game of the 2018-19 regular season with a 20-7 overall record and a 13-3 mark in league games. The Panthers are currently on a five-game winning streak, as they have upended Charleston Southern, Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, Longwood and Hampton during that stretch.
Preseason Player of the Year Emma Bockrath leads the Panthers in scoring and rebounding, as she averages 16.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She has started all 27 games this year for the Panthers and averages a team-best 34 minutes per contest. The senior guard is shooting at a 43 percent clip from the field and a 34.2 percent mark behind the three-point arc. She also leads the team in steals, as she has 80 steals this season.
Lindsey Edwards and Shea Morgan are also averaging double digits this year at 11.3 ppg and 10.9 ppg, respectively. Together the two Panthers have nearly combined for 500 points this year, 495 points, and are both shooting at a 41 percent clip.
Bria Gibson and Camryn Brown are nearly in double figures, as they average 9.9 and 9.6 ppg, respectively.
Behind Bockrath in rebounds per game is Gibson, who averages 5.9 boards per contest. Morgan is also a threat on the glass, as she averages 5.5 rebounds per game.
All-Time History Versus the Panthers
Wednesday's meeting will be the 48th all-time head-to-head meeting between the Bulldogs and Panthers. In the last seven head-to-head contests, Asheville holds a narrow 4-3 lead.
Earlier this season inside Kimmel Arena, the Bulldogs downed the Panthers, 67-56. Dengokl had a game-high 17 points on 6-for-13 shooting. She also grabbed six rebounds and an assist. Wall also had a double-digit performance, as the senior posted 11 points. Zip Scott, Jordan-Brown and Evans all contributed eight points each as well. Morgan and Bockrath combined for 27 points, while Skyler Curran added 11 points.
