French Broad Collegiate Invitational
Women’s Golf Hosts First-Ever French Broad Collegiate Invitational on Monday

ARDEN, N.C. – For the first time in school history, UNC Asheville women's golf will host the first-ever French Broad Collegiate Invitational, which is a two-day golf tournament that will be held at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove
The inaugural golf tournament is free and open to the public.

UNC Asheville's most recent tournament was the highly-competitive Briar's Creek Invitational in Johns Island, S.C.
Overall UNC Asheville finished 17th with a team score of 960. The Bulldogs were strong in the opening day, as they tallied team scores of 315 and 311.
Taylor Hinson had the best individual finish for the Bulldogs, as the sophomore carded a 20-over 236. She opened the two-day tournament with a strong 2-over 74 round.
Freshman Baylee Evans had the second-best finish for the Bulldogs, as she finished tied for 83rd. She was consistent in the outing, as she shot an 8-over 80 on the first and third rounds to go along with her best 18-hole score of 6-over 78 in the second round.
Previewing the French Broad Collegiate Invitational
The two-day tournament is hosted by the Bulldogs and will be played at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove. The course is a par-71 and runs 5,879 yards.
There are 11 participating teams in the tournament, including six Big South members – UNC Asheville, Gardner-Webb, USC Upstate, Presbyterian, Radford and Longwood.
