ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville baseball team will host North Carolina Central on Wednesday, April 25, at Greenwood Field.

About the Bulldogs
UNC Asheville enters the first game of the week with a 10-29 overall record.
Danny Wilson continues to lead the Bulldog offense, as he holds a .272 batting average. Carmine Pagano and Brandon Lankford are right behind Wilson, as they have a .264 and .263 batting average, respectively. Between the three Bulldogs, they have combined for 21 doubles, nine home runs, 55 RBIs and 54 runs scored this season.
Cody Wilson and Eric Whitecavage continue to be the backbone for the Bulldogs out of the bullpen. Cody Wilson has a 1-0 record with a stunning 1.35 ERA, and Whitecavage has a 2-1 record along with a 3.60 ERA.
In home games this season, Danny Wilson and Lankford pace the Bulldogs, as both are hitting above .360. Danny Wilson has connected with a team-leading 15 hits, and Lankford has smacked 14 hits, which includes seven doubles and three home runs. Carmine Pagano and Chris Troost have each connected with 12 hits and have combined for 15 RBIs at Greenwood Field.
Three Bulldogs – Jesse Juday, Cody Wilson and Ethan Tressler - have been stellar at Greenwood Field this season, as all three have not surrendered a run. The trio have allowed just two hits in 7.1 innings. They have also combined for six strikeouts and only one extra-base hit allowed.

The Eagles enter Wednesday's contest with a 22-21 record, including a 7-11 mark in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and a 6-12 record in road games. NC Central is fresh off a series loss, where it traveled to Bethune-Cookman and lost all three games in Daytona Beach, Fla. Corey Joyce leads the Eagle offense, as the sophomore is hitting at a .342 mark in 39 starts. He has a team-leading 50 hits in 146 at-bats. He has 11 doubles to go along with five home runs and 28 RBIs. Zach Michalski is the team's biggest home run threat, as he has connected with eight homers. He has 42 RBIs and totes a .315 batting average.
