Big South Splits Pool Play Games at Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship on Friday

SAN ANTONIO – The Big South Conference team in the inaugural Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship split its first two games of pool play on Friday, March 30.
The Big South Conference team that features Ahmad Thomas and Kevin Vannatta of UNC Asheville men's basketball along with Liam O'Reilly of Gardner-Webb and Reggie Dillard of Presbyterian College opened the event with a dominating 21-9 win over the Missouri Valley Conference.
The Big South dropped its final game of pool play in a thriller, 21-17, to the America East Conference.
The final game of pool play will be at 11:15 a.m. EST (10:15 CST) on Saturday with the Big South battling the Mountain West Conference.
The win over Missouri Valley netted the Big South team $1,000.
