Thomas and Vannatta Begin Pool Play Friday at Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship

Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship Program
SAN ANTONIO – UNC Asheville men's basketball standouts Ahmad Thomas and Kevin Vannatta open pool play in the inaugural Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship on Friday, March 30.
In addition to UNC Asheville's Thomas and Vannatta, the Big South Conference roster will feature Liam O'Reilly of Gardner-Webb and Reggie Dillard of Presbyterian College.
The team is coached by Princeton great and former professional basketball player Dan Mavraides.
In pool play, the Big South is paired with the Mountain West, the Missouri Valley and America East conferences.
The Big South team will begin pool play at 7:35 p.m EST (6:35 CST) on Friday against the Missouri Valley. The second game is scheduled for 9:15 p.m. EST (8:15 CST) on Friday against the America East.
The final game of pool play will be at 11:15 a.m. EST (10:15 CST) on Saturday with the Big South battling the Mountain West Conference.
The Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship will begin on Friday, March 30 with 24 pool play games streamed live on Twitter from 7 p.m.-12:30 a.m. EST and will continue on Saturday, March 31 with another 24 pool play games streamed live on Twitter from 11 a.m.-3:30 p.m. EST. The event will conclude on Sunday, April 1 with the quarterfinals broadcast live on Twitter from 1:35-3 p.m. EST, and the semifinals, third-place game and championship game broadcast live on ESPN2 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. EST.
Every game of the Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship matters as money will be on the line at all times throughout the competition. Participants will compete for a $100,000 prize pool that will be distributed as follows:
