Women’s Golf Concludes Fall Portion of Schedule at Terrier Intercollegiate

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – To conclude the fall portion of the 2018-19 schedule, the UNC Asheville women's golf team travels to the two-day Terrier Intercollegiate in Spartanburg, S.C.

Last Time Out - 2018 Blue Hose Match Play
Kellen Alsip and Adelyn Deery each won twice in the lone match play outing of the season.
Alsip edged Ann Elizabeth Gore of Presbyterian, 1UP, and downed Sydney Merchant of Charleston Southern, 5&4. The junior suffered just one loss in the two-day tournament.
Deery demolished her competition in the match play outing. She downed Julie Hillestad of PC, 5&4, and Xuss Boira of Charleston Southern, 7&6. She only lost one head-to-head match to Grace Huffman of Longwood, 1UP.
Baylee Evans and Taylor Hinson each claimed wins in the second round of the match play tournament. Evans edged Diana Domenech of Longwood, 1UP, and Hinson claimed a 3&1 victory over Jacqueline Nickels of Longwood.
Overall UNC Asheville was in every head-to-head round, as it lost all three rounds by one (3-2).
About the Terrier Intercollegiate
The Terrier Intercollegiate is hosted by Southern Conference member Wofford and will be held at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
The Country Club of Spartanburg is a par-72, 6,648-yard course.
The field will feature 16 teams, including six squads in the Big South Conference (UNC Asheville, Gardner-Webb, High Point, Presbyterian, USC Upstate and Winthrop).
The event will begin on Monday, Oct. 29 at 9 a.m., and every golfer will start at either the first or 10th hole. Tuesday's round will be a shotgun start that starts at 9 a.m.
