FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The UNC Asheville women's tennis team responded in strong fashion with a 4-0 sweep over Emmanuel College Sunday afternoon.
The Bulldogs started competition off by claiming the doubles point. No. 1 seeded Hannah Francisco and Kylee Shipley came out victorious over Fantine Botella and Chloe O'Connor, 6-3. On court No. 3 Emily Sidor and Christin Louw clinched the doubles competition by downing Pearllan Cipriano and Victoria Silva, 6-2. Play was left unfinished on court No. 3 as Asheville had already wrapped up the doubles point.
Several singles matches were left unfinished once the Bulldogs had secured the 4-0 sweep over Emmanuel. No. 3 seed Shipley topped Maria Raich, 6-1, 6-1. No. 5 seed Hunter Hall saw success over Katharina Kiderlen with a 6-1, 6-4, victory. No. 6 Sidor managed to finish the competition up without dropping a game in a 6-0, 6-0, win over Abi Muesse.Â
BULLDOG BITES
BOUNCE BACK: Bulldog freshman Emily Sidor returned to her winning ways with her 6-0, 6-0, victory at the No. 6 singles position today. Sidor is now 3-1 on the season in singles play and 1-1 in doubles competition.

The Bulldogs will conclude their road trip when they travel to Kennesaw, Ga. to face Kennesaw State, Monday, Feb. 20, with the match beginning at 2 p.m.Â
