RADFORD– The UNC Asheville Men's Tennis team swept Radford University 4-0 in their final regular season match of 2016 on the Highlanders' home court.
NOTABLES
-The Bulldogs jumped out early, winning matches in flights one and two to take the doubles point and start the match 1-0. Josh Swindler and Henry Patten took the first match in flight two (6-3) to remain undefeated in BSC play and collect their eighth straight conference win. Alex Croker and Brett Landau took the second match in flight one (6-4) to send the Bulldogs to singles play.
-Asheville collected three straight singles wins to clinch the match and give the Bulldogs their sixth conference win this season.
-Seniors Daniel Kripak and Brett Landau were the first to finish for Asheville, with Kripak picking up a 6-4, 6-3 victory in flight six and Landau turning in a 7-6 (10-7), 6-3 victory in flight five.
-Josh Swindler clinched the match for Asheville with a 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 victory on court four. With the match decided, the remainder of the matches were unfinished.

On the win- “Good win for us today. We now have to turn our attention toward the conference tournament next week. There are plenty of teams capable of winning and we are certainly among that group.”

-Following Saturday's win, the Bulldogs will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia for the Big South Conference Championships hosted by Liberty University held on April 13-16. They will face the No. 6 seeded Winthrop University at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.
