ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville now knows the game time for its First Round NCAA Tournament matchup against Villanova on Friday afternoon, with the game tipping off at 12:40 p.m. from Brooklyn.

The game will be the first of four contests scheduled for Friday inside the Barclays Center, with the Iowa-Temple game set to follow. The winners of Asheville-Villanova and Iowa-Temple will meet Sunday.

The Bulldogs' game will be televised nationally on TruTV, and will feature play-by-play voice Verne Lundquist and analyst Jim Spanarkel. Allie LaForce will serve as the sideline reporter and the game will be directed by Suzanne Smith and produced by Craig Silver.

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn opened in September 2012 and is the home of the NBA's Brooklyn Nets and the New York Islanders of the NHL. The arena hosts several in-season college basketball games and tournaments, and the Atlantic 10 Conference has held its men's basketball tournament there since 2013. This is the first time the Barclays Center has hosted NCAA Tournament games.

Asheville, the Big South Conference Champion, enters the NCAA Tournament with a 22-11 record after closing the regular season with wins in seven of their last 10 games, including its run to the tournament title. Villanova, 29-5 overall, is coming off of a loss to Seton Hall in the Big East Championship game Saturday night. The Wildcats are 8-2 over their last 10 games.

Information regarding Watch Parties at locations in Asheville will be announced later in the week.
