Selection Sunday: Bulldogs Set To Find Out Where They Are Dancing
03.13.2016 | Men's Basketball
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville knows it's dancing. Now it's time to find out where. The Bulldogs will find out their opponent, game time and location along with the rest of the country when the 2016 NCAA Tournament bracket is announced live on CBS.
UNC Asheville will be hosting a watch party on campus in Overlook Hall, and the public is invited to attend the announcement with the Bulldog players and staff. The Selection Show will be a two-hour event beginning at 5:30 on CBS and will also be live streamed on NCAA.com. The Bulldogs' seeding announcement could come at any point during the two-hour show.
Overlook Hall is the newest residence hall on campus and is located at 2175 University Heights. To get to Overlook Hall, go down the sidewalk behind the bus stop shelter on University Heights toward the soccer field. (This is immediately after Governor's Hall- the residence hall with the clock tower-- if you are coming from the Justice Center). The Multipurpose room is located on the lower level of Overlook, and there will be signs to help direct you there.
Overlook Hall is building 33 on this campus map.
Normally an hour-long program, the 35th edition of the NCAA Basketball Championship Selection Show is expanding to two hours for the first time this year. The live show is set to feature even more analysis and discussion, including an in-studio interview with Joseph R. Castiglione, Chairman of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee, about the selection process.
Greg Gumbel and Ernie Johnson will host the show with expert analysis from Clark Kellogg, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Seth Davis and Doug Gottlieb. CBS Sports and Turner Sports, for the sixth consecutive year, will provide live coverage of all 67 March Madness games. Games will be shown nationally on TBS, CBS, TNT, truTV and via NCAA March Madness Live (on-line and via the app.)
