Bulldogs' Men's Basketball TV Schedule Announced

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-The Big South Conference announced its men's basketball broadcasts for the 2016-17 season will surpass 170, including more than 120 live games as part of a full schedule again on the Big South Network, and for the first time on Roku. Live regular-season conference games will be aired exclusively on ESPN3, in addition to four regular-season contests on ESPNU and a Saturday slate on the American Sports Network (ASN).
The UNC Asheville men's basketball squad has been selected to appear in four of the Saturday matchups that will be aired. Two of these games will be on ESPN3 and two will be shown on ASN. Dates and times for these games are as follows:
Sat., Jan. 21 Campbell at UNC Asheville 4:30pm ESPN3
Sat., Jan. 28 Radford at UNC Asheville 12:00pm ASN
Sat., Feb. 4 UNC Asheville at High Point 7:00pm ESPN3
Sat., Feb. 25 Liberty at UNC Asheville 12:00pm ASN
ESPNU will also televise four regular-season Big South games for the fourth consecutive year, with all four being “wildcard” selections that will be determined three weeks in advance. ESPNU will televise a Big South game on Thursday, Jan. 19 (9:00pm), Thursday, Jan.26 (7:00pm), Thursday, Feb. 9 (7:00pm) and Thursday, Feb. 23 (9:00pm).
ESPN3 will carry the Big South Men's Basketball Championship Quarterfinals and Semifinals on March 2 and 3, while ESPN will air the Big South Championship game live on Sunday, March 5 at 1:00pm -- the first Big South title game appearance on ESPN since 2007.
The Bulldogs will begin their regular season with a trip to Richmond, Va. to face the VCU Rams on Friday, November 11, with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m.
