Bulldogs to be on ESPNU on Feb. 11 vs. Radford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – ESPNU has selected the Radford at UNC Asheville men's basketball contest scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11 as its Big South Wildcard broadcast, it was announced today by the Big South Conference office. Game time will now be 9:00 p.m. inside Kimmel Arena in front of the national television audience.

Asheville sits at 13-6 overall and tied for first in the Big South with a 6-2 league record, while Radford is 11-9 overall and 4-4 in the conference.
The Bulldogs are the only Big South member with five players scoring in double figures, led by freshman Dylan Smith at 13.5 points. He is also the team's top scorer in league contests at 15.0 points per game. Asheville enters this weekend averaging league bests of 78.0 points and 11.0 steals in conference action. Asheville's appearance will mark the fourth consecutive season that the Bulldogs will play a regular-season Big South game on ESPNU.
Radford is led by Rashun Davis, who is eighth in the league with 14.1 points per game while tops with 4.7 assists. He became the 26th player in league history with 400 career assists on Wednesday and is now the 21st individual with 1,000 points (1,150) and 400 assists (402). Freshman Ed Polite Jr. is averaging 7.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks against Big South opponents. The Highlanders' selection marks their fourth since ESPNU's Big South Wildcard package began in 2013-14.
This will be the second Wildcard matchup featuring the two teams, as ESPNU televised Radford's 102-92 victory over the Bulldogs on Feb. 13, 2014 from the Dedmon Center in Radford.
