Women's Tennis Drops League Match to Coastal Carolina

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's tennis lost just its second match of the season on Saturday afternoon, 7-0, to Coastal Carolina at the Asheville Racquet Club.
Asheville falls to 10-2 on the year and 1-2 in conference play, while Coastal improves to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the Big South.
The Bulldogs dropped the double points, but were able to pick up a win at the top flight through Ericka Rivero and Emily McNall's 8-2 triumph. The duo improves to 7-3 overall this season in No. 1 doubles competition.
It was a rough day in singles action for the Blue & White, without a single match going three sets. McNall moved to No. 1 singles and fell 6-3, 6-3, while Rivero lost on court two, 6-2, 6-1. Boissevain, Davidsen, Brooker and Sherrer rounded out singles play with straight set losses.
Asheville will get right back out on the courts tomorrow, traveling to Boiling Springs for a conference tilt with Gardner-Webb at 1:00 p.m.
