Dwayne Sutton Named Big South Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville freshman guard Dwayne Sutton has been named the Big South Conference Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week, the conference announced today.
Sutton finished last week as Asheville's leading scorer in both contests against Mars Hill and Texas A&M. He collected a two-game total of 30 points on 12-for-21 shooting as he grabbed 19 rebounds while playing a combined 59 minutes over the two games. His 14-point, 12 rebound performance at Texas A&M Saturday was the game's only double-double.
Sutton and the rest of the Bulldogs are currently in Alaska in preparation for the Great Alaska Shootout, with their first game against Drexel coming on Thanksgiving Night with a midnight tipoff time back on the East Coast.
