Full Big South Release
As a conference, the men's slate features four regular-season conference games on ESPNU, eight league matchups exclusively on ESPN3 as part of a “Game of the Week” package beginning in January, plus six live telecasts of the 2016 Big South Men's Basketball Championship in March. In addition, seven Saturday games will be televised by the American Sports Network (ASN) with new game times of 12:00pm ET. ESPNU will televise four regular-season Big South games for the third consecutive year, with all four being “wildcard” selections that will be determined three weeks in advance.
ESPN3 will carry the Big South Men's Basketball Championship Quarterfinals and Semifinals on March 4 and 5, while ESPN2 will air the Big South Championship game live on Sunday, March 6 at 2:30pm.
The Bulldogs will be in the mix for all four of the ESPNU wildcard dates, with two dates (Radford and Presbyterian) on the road, while Asheville could also welcome ESPNU to town on two home dates – February 11 against Radford and February 25 versus Liberty.
Asheville will also be featured on ESPN3 twice at home inside Kimmel Arena, versus Presbyterian (January 23) and against Coastal Carolina (February 27). The Coastal Carolina game will be part of an ESPN3 doubleheader with the UNC Asheville women's team's game.
ASN will also feature the 'Dogs twice in its seven-game package. Asheville will host Longwood on January 30 inside Kimmel Arena and will play at Winthrop on February 20 as part of ASN's conference schedule.
In addition to the Big South Conference's television dates, Asheville will also play several non-conference dates on television, beginning with their 2015-16 season opener at Tennessee on SEC Network + on November 13. The Bulldogs' matchup against Texas A&M on November 21 will also be available on SEC Network +, which can be seen via the WatchESPN app or online.
The Great Alaskan Shootout will be televised by CBS Sports Network, as Asheville fans can watch the Bulldogs open play in the tournament against Drexel live at midnight local time to wrap up their Thanksgiving night. Asheville's game at Georgetown (December 12) will be a Fox Sports regional telecast.
The Bulldogs will also have three home games that will be WMYA MY40-TV games, beginning on November 18 versus Mars Hill. Asheville's matchup against Furman (Dec. 29) and Big South opponent Gardner-Webb (Jan. 16) will also be on MY40. The January 16 contest will be part of a doubleheader on MY40 with the UNC Asheville women's team's game.
