Andrew Rowsey Named BCBSNC Athlete of the Week

Sophomore men's basketball player Andrew Rowsey is this week's Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Athlete of the Week at UNC Asheville.
Each week the school selects a BCBSNC Athlete of the Week upon their performance from the previous week's action.
The Bulldogs played just once this past week but picked up a 91-66 win over NCAA Division II power Limestone on Sunday at Kimmel Arena. Andrew scored 22 points in 26 minutes of action. He went 8-of-16 from the field, knocked down three 3-pointers, was a perfect 3-of-3 from the free throw line, dished out four assists, had four rebounds and grabbed three steals. Andrew also recorded his first blocked shot of the season.
The Lexington, Va. native is tied for the national lead in scoring with a 26.0 average. He leads the nation in three-pointers made with 4.4 per game.
Andrew and the Bulldogs play again on Thursday at home against Tusculum at 7 p.m.
