ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's basketball finishes a three-game homestand Thursday night when the Bulldogs host Tusculum at Kimmel Arena starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at uncabulldogs.com/tickets.

Asheville (3-4) looks to get its fourth win of the year when it takes on the Pioneers. The Bulldogs posted a 91-66 victory over Limestone Sunday afternoon. Nick McDevitt's club shook off a slow start against the Saints to take control of the contest midway through the first half. Andrew Rowsey led the Dogs with 22 points, while David Robertson added 15.  Alec Wnuk, Kevin Vannatta and Kem Ubaru all had 12 points each for the Blue & White.

Tusculum is 1-7 on the season. The Pioneers are coached by former Brevard College head coach Mike Jones. They're led by 6-10 center Chase Mounce. He leads the team in scoring (16.3) and rebounding (8.3).

“I know Tusculum is having a tough year so far but we know what a good coach Mike Jones is, and we'll need to be prepared to play well Thursday night,” explained Asheville head coach Nick McDevitt. “Chase Mounce is a very good player and is tough to guard.”

Rowsey is tied for the national lead in scoring with a 26.0 scoring average. He's tied with junior guard A.J. English of Iona. Rowsey leads the nation in three-pointers made per game at 4.43 average. The sophomore guard leads the Big South in free throw percentage (.907) and steals (17).

Freshman forward Kem Ubaru is second in scoring at 12.0 and tops the team in rebounding at 6.3 per game. Sophomore guard David Robertson has a 10.6 scoring average and has scored in double figures in four consecutive games.

This will be the Bulldogs final non-Division I game of the season. Asheville heads to the state of Alabama for two games next week. The Dogs play at UAB Sunday night at 8 p.m. in a contest that will be regionally televised and can be seen locally on MY-40. They will then travel to Jacksonville State Tuesday evening for an 8 p.m. battle. The Dogs return home on Sunday, Dec. 21 when they host mountain rival Western Carolina at 2 p.m. That game will also be televised locally on MY-40.
