Kem Ubaru Named Big South Freshman of the Week - Again

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second straight week, UNC Asheville forward Kem Ubaru is the Big South Freshman of the Week.
The Sugar Land, Texas native averaged 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals for the Bulldogs. He had 11 points and four rebounds in 11 minutes against Johnson & Wales, and followed with 17 points and six boards at East Tennessee State. For the week, Ubaru was 10-of-14 from the field ( =71.4 percent) and 7-of-10 from the charity stripe. He also knocked down his first career three-pointer against the Buccaneers.
Kem and the Bulldogs play twice this week as they'll play at SEC foe South Carolina Wednesday evening at 8 p.m., followed by a game with Charlotte at Kimmel Arena on Sunday, starting at 3 p.m.
