Robertson named Big South Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville guard David Robertson is this week's Big Conference Freshman of the Week. The league announced its award-winners on Monday.
The Cary, N.C. native helped lead the Bulldogs to two wins last week. Robertson began the week with 10 points and a career-best six assists in Asheville's 92-56 victory over Bluefield College Thursday night. He then scored a career-high 18 points in the Bulldogs' 73-63 victory at USC Upstate Sunday afternoon. For the week, he was 11-of-20 from the field ( =55.0 percent), 6-of-13 from long distance ( =46.2) and averaged 3.5 assists in the two wins.
Robertson is the second Bulldog rookie to earn the award as fellow backcourt mate Andrew Rowsey was honored by the league on November 18.
