Keith Hornsby Leads Nation in Free Throw Shooting

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville sophomore guard Keith Hornsby is the top free throw shooter in the country.

 

Hornsby is shooting .962 (51-of-53) from the free throw line and made 35 straight free throws. He had been second in the nation behind Davidson's Nic Cochran for the past month. Cochran went 1-of-2 from the line vs. The Citadel on Thursday night and slipped to second nationally at .950 (57-of-60).

 

Keith is Asheville's second leading scorer with a 14.7 scoring average. The Bulldogs play again on Saturday when they host Longwood at Kimmel Arena starting at 4:30 p.m.
