J.P. Primm named Big South Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - UNC Asheville senior guard J.P. Primm (Dickson, Tenn.) has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced today by the Conference office.
Primm averaged 26.5 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals in two wins last week. He scored a career-high 30 points in leading Asheville to a victory over High Point on Thursday, and also contributed five assists, five steals and was 9-of-9 from the line in the win. On Saturday against Campbell, Primm tallied 23 points, five assists and five three-pointers. For the week, he finished 16-of-30 from the field (=53.3 percent), 10-of-22 from three-point range ( =45.5), 11-of-11 from the charity stripe ( =100.0) and had a 10-to-1 assist-turnover ratio.
Primm is the fourth player to earn Player of the Week honors this year from the Big South. The previous winners were Jaron Lane, Chris Stephenson and Jeremy Atkinson.
