ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville junior guard J.P. Primm has announced on Friday that he has withdrawn his name from the NBA draft and will return for his senior season.

Primm had declared for the draft but didn't sign with an agent, leaving open the option to return to Asheville.

Primm was a second team Big South All-Conference performer last year. He made the Big South All-Tournament team as he helped Asheville advance to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in school history. Primm was Asheville's second leading scorer with a 14.6 average and led the squad in assists with 154. He set a single-season school record for steals with 71. Primm was second in the Big South in assists per game with a 4.5 average. He shot 78.8 percent from the free throw line, fifth best in the conference. His 2.1 steals per game mark was second in the league.

"We're delighted to have J.P. Primm back for his senior season," stated Bulldog coach Eddie Biedenbach. "He means a great deal to our program."
