02.26.2011 | Men's Basketball
The Bulldogs (16-13, 11-7 BSC) have won three games in a row after downing Radford on Saturday, 81-58 at Justice Center. Asheville and Charleston Southern played two close games during the regular season with the home team winning each time. The Bulldogs downed CSU on Jan. 22, 77-69 as Jaron Lane scored six late points to seal the victory. The Buccaneers evened the score when they rallied past Asheville, 79-70 on Feb. 15 at the CSU Fieldhouse behind 31 points from Jamarco Warren. The Bulldogs led 39-29 at halftime but the Bucs rallied to out-score the Bulldogs 50-31 in the second half.
This will be just the fourth meeting between the teams in Big South Tournament history with Charleston Southern holding a 2-1 advantage. Asheville did win the last meeting in the quarterfinals of the 2008 tournament at Justice Center, 87-63.
