PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas -The UNC Asheville Bulldogs will attempt to get a win in the final day of the Battle "4" Atlantis Tournament as the Blue & White will face Utah in the seventh-place game tonight at 9:30 p.m. Tonight's game will be televised by HDNET and broadcast locally on WWNC Radio (570-AM) with the pre-game show starting at 9 p.m.  The game can also be heard via audio-streaming at www.uncabulldogs.com.

The Bulldogs (2-4) are coming off a tough 68-66 loss to College of Charleston last night. Matt Dickey scored 20 points, while Chris Stephenson added 19 points and eight rebounds in a game that featured 10 lead changes.

"We played hard, battled and did a lot of good things last night but that's not good enough," commented Asheville coach Eddie Biedenbach. "We had a chance to win the game and didn't do it and that's frustrating. We'll need to put a good effort tonight against Utah."

The Utes are 1-4 on the season after falling to UMASS last night, 89-75. Utah, a member of the PAC-12, has a new coach in Larry Krystkowiak and 13 new players on its roster.

"Utah is struggling a little bit to start the season, but they have good players and are a good team," explained Biedenbach. "They're very big inside and create some match-up problems for us."

BULLDOG NOTES

This will be the first time UNC Asheville has ever faced Utah. The Bulldogs are 1-1 all-time vs. the PAC-12. They defeated California, 58-53 in 1988 and lost at Arizona, 96-68 in 1997.

J.P. Primm needs two assists for 500 in his career.

Matt Dickey has scored in double figures in six straight games to start the season.

Jeremy Atkinson has grabbed nine rebounds in each of the two games in the tournament.

The Bulldogs play next on Thursday night when they open Big South Conference play at Gardner-Webb starting at 5:30 p.m.
