Asheville clinched the fourth seed early Saturday night with a thrilling 89-86 victory over Gardner-Webb. The Bulldogs (14-15, 11-7 BSC) are the fourth seed for the second straight year and their 11 conference wins tie a school record for most league wins in a season.

Asheville and High Point split this year. The Panthers edged the Bulldogs back on Jan. 4 at High Point, 66-62. Asheville downed High Point on Jan. 28, 83-69 at Justice Center.
