McCullough to Play in Germany in 2009

ASHEVILLE, N.C.-- Former UNC Asheville men's basketball player Bryan McCullough ('05), has signed a pro contract to play for Paderborn Baskets in Germany's top league, the BBL. The German BBL is considered one of the top leagues in Europe.
Last season, McCullough suited up for Dombovar in Hungary where he averaged 11.4 ppg, 2.5 rpg, and 1.7 apg. This will be his fifth season as a pro and his second stint in Germany where he played for Itzehoe Eagles in 2005-06. He then spent two seasons in Romania and two seasons in Hungary.
McCullough played for the Bulldogs from 2001-05 earning second-team all-conference honors in 2005 and was a Big South All-Tournament selection helping the Dogs claim the 2003 Big South title.
