Friday?s Baseball Game at Liberty Moved to 5 p.m.

LYNCHBURG, Va.?The first game of a three-game Big South baseball series between UNC Asheville and Liberty originally scheduled for 7 p.m. has been moved up to a 5 p.m. first pitch. Live stats will be available at www.libertyflames.com.
The series will conclude on Saturday with a double-header beginning at 1 p.m. The pitching probables for the weekend have Liberty's Shawn Teufel facing UNC Asheville's Taylor Wohlwend on Friday night. Steven Evans will face Michael Bogaert in game one on Saturday with Cody Brown and Ryan Dull throwing the night cap.
UNC Asheville is coming off a 4-1 victory over Furman on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs are 6-26 overall and 3-11 in the Big South. Catlin Carter is the leading the club with a .330 average while Jordan Lurie is hitting .316. Justin Schumer leads the Dogs in home runs and RBI with five and 25 respectively. Schumer is hitting .350 against Big South pitching. Reed Kreiser has also belted five home runs and driven in 17 runs. Mike Vaughn has homered in two of the last three games. His home run in the fifth inning on Wednesday night against Furman put the Bulldogs ahead for good.
Game three starter, Dull is 2-3 in five Big South starts. He has thrown complete games in each of his last two starts.
Liberty leads the Big South with a 21-10 overall record and a 9-2 conference mark. The Flames are 12-1 at home this season. Doug Bream leads the team with a .429 average. He has five home runs and 26 RBI. Curren Redal is hitting .408 with four homers and a team-high 34 RBI. Four other Flames are hitting above .300 as Liberty has a .320 team batting average. The Flames lost a pair of mid-week games, 2-1, at William & Mary and, 12-0, at George Mason.
