Bulldogs and Catamounts Game on Dec. 31 to be Televised by WMYA

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - ASHEVILLE, N.C. ? The UNC Asheville and Western Carolina men's basketball game to be played at Justice Center on Dec. 31 will be televised locally by WYMA-TV Channel 40 starting at 4 p.m.
The WCU-UNC Asheville game on New Year's Eve will mark the first locally produced college basketball game ever on WMYA, which is owned by Cunningham Broadcasting. Jack Connors and Brian Hall will handle the play-by-play and color commentary duties.
“We're delighted that WYMA is going to televise our game with Western Carolina on New Year's Eve,” stated UNC Asheville coach Eddie Biedenbach. “We're always trying to build interest in college basketball in the area and to have our game with Western Carolina on TV will do a great deal to help with that interest. “
WYMA-TV “My40” is a MyNetwork TV affiliate serving Western North Carolina and the Upstate of South Carolina and North Georgia area, the 36th largest television market in the U.S.
