"First of all we need to give Liberty a lot of credit. They are a good team and they passed the ball very well today," said Asheville head coach Julie Torbett. "They made an adjustement in game one and we did not make the adjustments we needed to make. When you are not playing well it is difficult to take risks. We have to get our confidence back but it is not easy when you are not experincing success."
Both teams had five blocks on the match while Liberty out-dug Asheville 55-39.
Asheville will travel to Winthrop and High Point next weekend to start the second trip through the conference.
