Overview: Poised to become the school and Big South’s all-time leader in digs this year…finished last season 15th in the nation in digs (5.15)….was selected as a first team all-conference performer as a freshman and junior and made second team as a sophomore…the top libero in the Big South…enters the season with 1,980 digs and that’s second best in school history.
2008: Enjoyed an outstanding season where she led the Big South Conference in digs with 674, fourth best in school history…established a career-high in digs with 47 in thrilling five-set victory over Charleston Southern (10-17)…also had 42 digs in road victory at High Point (10-25)…was the only player in the Big South to have two 40-dig matches…was named Libero of the Week four different times during the year, including three straight weeks in October…led the Big South in 30-dig matches with three and led the league in 15 20-dig matches…posted four service aces in comeback win at UNC Wilmington (9-20)…was named to all-tournament team at UNC Wilmington…had double-figures in digs in 31 of 32 matches….had 20 kills from the libero spot, including three kills in two matches.
2007: 2nd Team All-Big South libero finishing with 582 digs which placed 5th on Asheville’s single season list...played in 118 games in 32 of 34 matches...had double-figure digs in all but four matches and 15 matches with 20 or more digs including a season-high 29 digs in both regular season matches against High Point on Oct. 5, and Oct. 20...had 28 digs in five games at USC Upstate on Nov. 8, 27 digs in four games against North Carolina Central on Sept. 11, and 26 digs in four games against Winthrop on Oct. 6...second on the team in service aces with 23...had 16 kills from libero position with four matches were she had two kills.
2006: Only player to play in all 126 games...recorded double figure digs in 32 of 33 matches with 21 20-plus dig matches and four matches with 30 or more digs...had a season-high 43 digs at Birmingham-Southern on Nov. 11...32 digs against Radford, Oct.1, and 31 digs against East Tennessee State, Sept. 2, and at Charleston Southern, Nov. 3...led the team in service aces with 50, which tied for 10th all-time in a single-season...had five aces in a match four times...her 721 digs were the third highest for one season in school history...had 61 digs in three matches in the Big South Tournament to garner All-Tournament team honors...became the first UNC Asheville freshman to earn 1st-Team All-Conference honors.
Before UNC Asheville: Played for Corinthians club team in Sao Paulo, Brazil...was two time city and state champion 2001 and 2002...in 2003, was considered one of the top 20 best players in her age group (17 and under)...was also runner-up in the Jogos Abertos in 2005.
