Before UNC Asheville: Swam in high school at East Chapel Hill...helped lead team to 4-A state title senior year...finished third in the state individual in the 100 fly at 1:02.91...served as team captain as a senior...went to regionals individually in the 100 fly and 50 freestyle as a junior...also played volleyball and softball in high school.
