In his first season on staff, Watt helped the Bulldogs to five wins including one win in conference play. Gracie Murray earned Big South Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 18, while Akari Kishida earned Big South Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Oct. 6. Kishida and Shae Hassig would earn All-Conference Honorable Mention honors, while Hassig was also named to the All-Academic Team. Asheville also put together six shutouts on the season, allowing the fewest goals in the Big South Conference this season. 

Nathan Watt joined the UNC Asheville Women's Soccer Staff in July 2025. 

Watt also works with the local Highland Football Club as the Boys Assistant Director, coaching teams from U-10 all the way up to U-19. Prior to joining the staff at HFC, he was an assistant for Asheville City Soccer Club from 2018-22. He also played three years for Asheville City. He was also the Director of Coaching with the Asheville Shield from 2018-22. 

Originally from England, Watt played at Division II Lees-McRae as a four-year starter. As a senior, he led the nation in assists per game. 

Watt graduated from Lees-McRae in 2017.
