Quante Lee enters his second season on the UNC Asheville staff in 2025-26. 

The Bulldogs won four games in Lee's first season on staff. The Bulldogs picked up their first win at Asheville on Dec. 4 as the Bulldogs thumped Warren Wilson 98-23, before Asheville beat Brevard 79-45 on Dec. 30 for their second win. Asheville picked up its first Big South Conference win under Lewis on Feb. 26 at Presbyterian by a score of 67-60, before upending the Blue Hose again in the Big South Conference Tournament 69-63. Lee coached Dakota McCaughan who earned Big South Conference Player of the Week honors on Dec. 2 on a career-best 29 points on a career-best 9-16 from beyond the arc at Tennessee State. McCaughan was named to the Big South Conference All-Academic Team, while she and Skylar Bailey were both named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections. The team also earned academic special mention from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).

Lee joins Tynesha Lewis's staff as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the 2024-25 season.

Lee comes to Asheville after one season as the Head Coach at Division II Lees-McRae College, where he coached one Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month, one Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week and 16 Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference honorees. 

Prior to Lees-McRae, Lee coached two-plus seasons at NCCAA Division I Carolina University, starting as an Assistant Coach in August 2020 before being elevated to head coach in January 2021. He was named the South Region Coach of the Year once while coaching one NCCAA Scholar-Athlete, four First Team All-Region selections, two Honorable Mention All-Region selections and three NCCAA All-Americans. He led Carolina to back-to-back regional appearances, including the first in program history in 2021. 

Lee was previously the Associate Head Coach and Sports Information Director at Wake Technical Community College from 2018-2020, coaching two NJCAA Scholar-Athletes, three All-Region selections and one All-American. While Lee was on staff, Wake Tech won its first regular season conference championship in program history. 

Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from North Carolina State, as well as a Master's of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from North Carolina.Â
